Day 1

Thursday. Thurs Depart USA to Spain. Your flight includes meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment for your journey

Day 2

Friday. Arrive and transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure. This evening, enjoy a welcome drink and orientation dinner (D): MADRID

Day 3

Saturday. A day at leisure to explore Madrid at your own pace. This afternoon, choose an optional tour to El Escorial and the Valley of the Fallen. El Escorial was built in the 16th century by Phillip II as a monastery and Royal Pantheon. The Valley of the Fallen is home to an impressive memorial that commemorates the victims of the Spanish Civil War ($55) (B): MADRID

Day 4

Sunday. This morning, travel to Toledo where your tour includes a walk through the Jewish Quarter, a visit to Santa Maria la Blanca Church, Samuel Levy Street and the Transito Synagogue. Continue with a guided visit to the Museum of Sephardi Jewish Culture and El Greco House. This afternoon, enjoy a city tour of Madrid. Drive along the Gran Via, the Puerta del Sol and Plaza Espana to view the Monument to Cervantes and the Royal Palace. End at the Prado Museum, where you will have the opportunity to view works of art by famous artists such as El Greco, Velázquez, and Ribera (B): MADRID

Day 5

Monday. Morning departure for Granada. Travel via La Mancha, legendary home of Don Quixote. A stop in Consuegra provides a panoramic view of its famous windmill. This afternoon, visit the Moorish Alhambra Palace with its famous Lion Courtyard. From the Generalife water garden, enjoy a breathtaking view of the town below and the Sierra Nevada mountains (B, D): GRANADA

Day 6

Tuesday. This morning, drive to Cordoba, birthplace of philosopher Moshe Ben Maimon. Visit the Mosque of the Caliphs, see the Roman Bridge and a beautifully restored 14th century synagogue before continuing to Seville (B, D): SEVILLE

Day 7

Wednesday. A morning tour of Seville begins with a visit to the Cathedral of Seville, the largest Gothic Cathedral in the world. View the Giralda Tower overlooking the Guadalquivir River. Visit the Alcazar fortress, the Barrio Santa Cruz (the old Jewish quarter) and the burial site of Christopher Columbus. Afternoon is at leisure to explore Seville's shops, museums and cafes. This evening, choose an optional Flamenco show with traditional music and dance ($35) (B): SEVILLE

Day 8

Thursday. This morning, travel through the Sherry wine producing region of Jerez to the Straight of Gibraltar with its famous Rock for a brief stop. This afternoon continue past the glamorous resort of Marbella to the Costa del Sol (B): COSTA DEL SOL

Day 9

Friday. Day at leisure or join our optional full day tour to Morocco. Cross the Strait of Gibraltar to Tangiers and enjoy a guided tour of the city, including the colorful Grand Socco market. In the medina, view the Casbah and the Sultan's palace. Enjoy lunch in a typical Moroccan restaurant with entertainment. Free time to explore the city independently before returning to Spain by ferry ($69) (B): COSTA DEL SOL

Day 10

Saturday. Full day at leisure to explore the Costa del Sol independently or choose our optional morning tour to Malaga. Visit the Picasso Museum, the painter's birthplace, and the remains of the Roman Theatre ($29). Balance of the day is at leisure (B): COSTA DEL SOL

Day 11

Sunday. Today we head north through the groves of olives, almonds, lemons and oranges to the garden city of Valencia (B, D): VALENCIA

Day 12

Monday. This morning, a brief orientation tour includes the City Gates, City Hall and the Cathedral. View the incredible Arts and Science City designed by contemporary artist Calatrava. Later, head north to Peniscola with its castle and whitewashed houses before arriving in Barcelona, capital of the region of Catalunya (B): BARCELONA

Day 13

Tuesday. This morning's tour of Barcelona begins with a drive along the old Harbour to the Plaza Catalunya. In the charming Gothic Quarter, visit the mighty Cathedral. View Gaudi’s unusual Sagrada Familia church and drive up Montjuic Hill to the site of the 1992 Olympic Stadium. Afternoon is at leisure (B): BARCELONA

Day 14

Wednesday. Transfer to the airport for your departure flight (B).
