Historic Meeting | Peace through Tourism and Economic Cooperation
Jerusalem, Israel., September 16-High-level meeting in Egypt symbolizes new spirit of regional cooperation: The ministers of tourism of Israel, Egypt, Jordan and the Palestinian Authority met for the first time in the Red Sea resort of Hurghada in Egypt in order to promote tourism in the Middle East. Israeli Minister of Tourism Avraham Hirchson, described the event as "historic" and said that tourism has a great influence on the economy of the region. The ministers agreed to meet every three months.The next meeting will take place in the city of Bethlehem.
