| DAY ONE: Sunday DEPARTURE
Overnight: Flight DAY TWO: Monday ARRIVE IN CASABLANCA- Arrive at the Casablanca International Airport.
- Transfer to the hotel for check-in. (airport transfer included)
- Relax, unpack, and settle in.
- Early evening, depart the hotel with the tour educator and local guide for a panoramic tour of the city and its diverse neighborhoods.
- Da'at EncounterOpening Dinner with staff of the JDC at the Cercle De L'union (The Jewish Club)
Overnight: Casablanca
DAY THREE: Tuesday CASABLANCA- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Check out and depart the hotel.
- Visit the famous Mosque of Hassan II, third largest Mosque in the world.
- The Glory of Moroccan Jewry: Guided visit through the Museum of the Jews of Morocco, for a glimpse into the rich and colorful world of Moroccan Jewry.
- Visit the Beth-El Synagogue and taste Moroccan sweets at the kosher bakery.
- Peak into the Jewish Home for the Aged that offers high-quality care to some of the community's most impoverished and isolated people.
- Light lunch on own.
- Depart for Fes, the most extensive medieval city in the Arab world and the place where Jewish scholars and Rabbi's walked the streets for hundreds of years.
- Check into the hotel.
- Dinner on your own.

DAY FOUR: Wednesday THE MYSTERIES OF FES- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Panoramic view of the Medina of Fes from Borj Sud.
- Guided visit through the Mellah (Jewish Quarter) of Fes and visit to the Iben Danan Synagogue.
- Visit the famous Fez Jewish cemetery, where some of Fes's legendary rabbis are buried.
- Continue for a guided walk through the Medina, where the famous Jewish scholar Maimonides once lived, including:
- A glimpse of local craftsman at work in their shops, where they weave, embroider, carve and chisel as they have done for centuries.
- Tour the Madrasa Bou Inania, founded in 1351-56 CE. The madrasa is one of the few religious places in Morocco that is accessible to non-Islamic visitors.
- Light lunch in the Medina, including local delicacies, a rich selection of Moroccan salads, and fresh fruits.
- Visit the Museum of Wooden Arts in the beautifully restored former Caravan Stop.
- Peak into the University of Al-Karaouine or Al-Qarawiyyin, considered by the Guinness book, UNESCO and many historians as the oldest continuously operating academic degree-granting university in the world.
- Discover the tanneries of Fes which give the Medina its unique flavor and smell.
- Return to the hotel.
- Dinner on own.

DAY FIVE: Thursday THE LEGACY OF MOROCCAN JEWRY- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Check out of the hotel.
- Depart Fes for Viloubliis, a UNESCO World Heritage site, founded in the 3rd century B.C., which became an important outpost of the Roman Empire.
- Continue to Meknes, located on a fertile plain north of the Middle Atlas and the former residence of the Sultan. Meet with a caretaker of the Old Jewish Synagogue for an introduction to what was and what remains of Jewish Life.
- Visit the Royal Stables before continuing to Rabat.
- Enter the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, who made Meknes capital during his reign from 1672-1727.
- Lunch on own, en route.
- Upon arrival in Rabat, take a guided walk through the Old Walled City and the marvellous Kasbah des Oudayas.
- Enjoy tea and traditional Moroccan sweets overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
- Continue to the hotel for check-in.
- Dinner at the hotel on own.
Overnight: Rabat
DAY SIX: Friday ROYAL RABAT- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Check out of the hotel.
- Tour Rabat, including a visit around the walls of the Royal Palace and the Mausoleums of Mohammad V and Hassan II, two kings who worked hand-in-hand with the Jewish Community.
- Lunch on own, en route.
- Drive to Marrakesh.
- Arrive in Marrakesh and check into the hotel.
- Time to freshen up.
- Kabbalat Shabbat at the Bet-El Synagogue.
- Da'at EncounterFestive Shabbat Dinner with members of the Marrakesh Jewish Community.
Overnight: Marrakesh
DAY SEVEN: Saturday THE WONDERS OF MARRAKESH- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Full day at leisure to explore Marrakesh on your own.
- Dinner on own.
- After dinner experience the party atmosphere at Djma El Fna Square, one of the most colorful and mysterious sites in all of Africa with its snake charmers, street vendors, musicians, jugglers, fortune-tellers and storytellers.
Overnight: Marrakesh
DAY EIGHT: Sunday THE EURIKA VALLEY- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Guided tour of Marrakesh, including:
- The Medina Gates
- The Bahia Palace
- The Dar is Said Museum
- Lunch on your own.
- Free afternoon to wander through Marrakesh's enormous marketplace.
- Farewell dinner at a local restaurant offering a modern interpretation of traditional Moroccan cuisine.

DAY NINE: Monday DEPARTURE AND ARRIVAL - Breakfast at the hotel.
- Check out of the hotel.
- Depart for Marrakesh Airport for departure flight to the U.S.A.

in U.S. dollars. All hotel accommodations, motor coach transportation, special
dinners, sightseeing, admissions, luggage handling and the services of local
guides, drivers, and the Expedition Educator are included.
- Hotels are subject to
confirmation. If the hotels listed cannot be confirmed, we will use other
hotels on the same level.
- Hotel Accommodations:
The tour price includes all hotel accommodations, in hotel rooms with private
baths. Our standard is to provide the best available hotels while considering
value. Although the level of the accommodations may differ slightly from hotel
to hotel, we are committed to your comfort. Two-bed rooms are reserved in most
hotels. Triples are two-bed rooms with a rollaway cot where available and are
not recommended when considering the comfort of those in the room. King-size
beds are not available in most hotels; what is considered king-size usually
consists of two single beds pushed together and made up separately, but with
one headboard. Some two-bed rooms may have two twin - not full- or queen-size
- beds.
- Meals are included as
specified in the itinerary.
- Expedition Educator:
All trips are conducted by our Expedition Educators or local guides who remain
with the group throughout the tour.
- Gratuities Included: All
gratuities for restaurant and hotel staff.
- Baggage: All tour packages / group tours allow one piece of
luggage per person and one carry-on bag. Excess luggage will be subject to
charge of up to $100 per piece. The Travel Agent and/or Tour Operator, shall
not be held responsible for any damage to or loss of luggage/personal items.
All damage/loss must be reported at time of incident and documented in writing
by local authorities for submission to the insurance company. With regard to
airline baggage allowance, different carriers have different regulations for
business and coach, please check with your individual carrier with regard to
permitted number of pieces, weights and dimensions. The tour operator is not
responsible for fees levied by any air carrier for the transport of personal
belongings of any kind.
Not Included
- Airfare to the tour
departure point and from the tour ending point is not included. Airfare may be
purchased from us for travel originating in the United States. Please see
Flights tab in the right-side toolbar.
- Personal Expenses: All
personal expenses such as: laundry, valet service, cables, telephone calls and
postage are not included.
- Guide and Driver
Gratuities:

and more: Tour educator / Tour escort $6 , local guide $3, driver $2 - per
participant per
day.

- Airline Security
Measures: In the U.S., you must provide identification in the form of a
passport at the time of airport check-in for travel to international
destinations. Your passport name must match the name on your tour reservation
and airline ticket or you may be denied boarding.
- If you are traveling
from an airport outside the jurisdiction of the U.S, you will need to
determine what travel documentation and identification is required for that
particular airport.
- Due to heightened
security regulations, certain items such as a metal nail file, pocketknife,
cigarette lighter or tweezers, and some liquid, gel, or aerosol items may not
be permitted in your carry-on luggage. Please call your airline prior to
departure to obtain current information on non-permissible carry-on items and
recommended airport check-in times. You may also wish to visit the
Transportation Security Administration website atwww.tsa.govto obtain more
information on acceptable identity documentation and prohibited luggage
items.
- Holidays and Museum
Closures - Museum visits and personal shopping time may be disrupted due to
unforeseen circumstances or the many religious, state and local holidays
locally observed in the destinations being visited.
- Photography During Tours: We
will occasionally use photographs taken by fellow guests or your trip director
for promotional purposes. If you prefer that your photo not be used in any
marketing activities, please notify us at the start of your
tour.
