Seville, Cordoba, Granada, Madrid, Toledo, Barcelona, and Girona contain a rich legacy of Sephardic Jewry. Until the expulsion, Jewish civilization in Spain had a tremendous impact on the nation and on Jews throughout the world. This journey will take you through the remains of Jewish culture in Spain and will raise many questions about this history. The café con leche will be strong, the pastries sweet, and you will leave carrying a bit of the proud heritage and compelling saga of Spain's Jewry with you. All this is in addition to the vibrant, aesthetic, and creative culture you will encounter.
