Inbal Ben-Zaken is a choreographer and dancer who began a second career as a fashion designer. Together with her partner Ido Ben-Khorin, in 2003 she founded the MIZO brand – fashion house based on Inbal’s designs.

The inspirational influences expressed in the original designs of the MIZO fashion house bring together three worlds: the world of dance, Japanese culture and the urban world. The world of dance and the stage from which Inbal originates comes out in her designs, in the clothes’ expansive and comfortable mobility that accommodate the curves and movements of the body. Japanese culture and traditional Japanese dress are reflected in the rich textures of the lightweight, spectacular and comfortable fabrics which create an Eastern look with its folds that softly envelope the body, incorporating belts and corsets that accentuate the curved lines of the feminine body. The urban world, the contemporary metropolis and street fashion are also reflected by subtle, humoristic and theatrical inferences and asymmetric cuts along with clean and minimalist, and almost monk-like, aesthetics.

“I want to design and create clothes that give a feeling of maximum comfort and allow the customer to be creative in trying out the range of modular possibilities and combinations that the garment offers. The customer can fold the clothes over and wear them inside out, or at an angle, and completely change the garments’ character,” says Inbal.

Einat Agassi and Tamar Harel-Klein opened the Agass and Tamar jewelry store in 1999, a store-studio that bonds the world of jewelry making directly with the designers’ most powerful source of inspiration – old against new. They designed the store themselves, and endeavored to keep the look simple, a look that doesn’t cry out “jewelry!”, but rather exudes the language of art. The stores sells men’s and women’s rings, bracelets, earrings and chains. The two designers draw their inspiration from old jewelry and from unusual encounters between different materials. Their hands lead the way. They strive to use substances that are as untouched as possible, that have not passed through many pairs of hands, and retain something of the original authenticity, to preserve something of the substance’s base character in the finished product. Even when they work with diamonds they steer clear of the polished look. Mostly they cover them in gold and take care to treat them like just another type of substance. The jewelry items are created by hand, in silver and gold (14 karat, 18 karat, 22 karat and mainly 24 karat), and include precious stones, coins and old stones.
