Tuesday. BRUCHIM HABAIM - Arrival followed by a Festive Welcome Dinner at the Blaustein Hall, Shusterman Center.
Wednesday. TIKUN OLAM - Explore the Social Justice Challenge in Israel while participating in a myriad of Tikkun Olam tracks throughout the country (track registration will open in mid December), followed by a mini Film Festival at the Jerusalem Cinematheque.
Thursday. K'SHARIM - Build connections with your Israeli counterparts in addition to, rabbinic students, academics, activists, lay members of IMPJ congregations while traveling between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv in small individualized groups, followed by an opportunity to taste the Jewish educational and cultural renaissance in Tel Aviv (track registration will open in mid-December). Special cultural evening in conjunction with the Los Angeles Federation and the City of Tel Aviv, followed by dinner on your own.
Friday. ELU VA ELU DIVRI ELOHIM HAYIM - Participate in an enormous National Beit Midrash at Binyanei Haumah with an opportunity to learn with great teachers from a wide spectrum of Israeli Jewish life. including lunch. Visit and pray with members of the IMPJ as the convention goes out and about to a variety of congregations, including an optional home hospitality dinner.
Saturday. SHABBAT SHALOM - Tfilot at Merkaz Shimshon.
The Rabbinical Alumni Association is hosting Shabbat lunch and invites you to s'udat Shabbat and to the traditional class roll call. HUC-JIR Rosh Yeshivah, Rabbi David Ellenson will teach. (Spouses/partners are invited to register for Shabbat lunch for $20, please make checks payable to the HUC Alumni Association). Shabbat afternoon walking tours of Jerusalem and Torah Study Sessions.
Sunday. WHERE TO ISRAEL @ 2009 - A morning of questioning and insights while meeting with political commentators and academics (track registration will open in mid-December), concluding with one of Israels foremost political thinkers and a farewell lunch at Sekoya at Kibbutz Ma'ale HaChamisha.
